A day that neither the Farm Manager nor our four reindeer babies were looking forward to - weaning day. This is when they say goodbye to mum and dad and start their training ready for the Festive Season.
Reindeer can get quite stressed, so we decided it best to keep our youngest and most tame reindeer mum, Donner, with the four babies whilst we separated them. The five of them are now in their own pen and after much disgruntled 'honking' from the younsters, they have settled down.
